MANILA, Philippines — A Filipina mother of two was allegedly murdered by her Swedish husband last week in Stockholm, Sweden, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said. The DFA has expressed its condolences to the family of Mailyn Conde Sinambong and assured her family that justice would be served. The victim's husband was placed under custody of Swedish authorities in connection to the murder, which happened on September 23. Sinambong had reportedly been beaten by her husband soon after they arrived in Sweden. According to the victim's mother, she said "very little" about her real situation abroad.
