The Portland-born cager traces his roots through his Filipino-American father Roland, whose dad is from Asingan, Pangasinan. He put Filipinos on notice when he visited the country March last year for the NBTC where he played for the Filam Sports USA selection. Hepa is joining a college basketball program that produced eventual National Basketball Association players Cory Joseph, Tristan Thompson, Myles Turner, PJ Tucker and most importantly, Kevin Durant.
