The FAT, led by its president Somyot Poompunmuang, has barred former association chief Worawi Makudi from contesting the election. In the aftermath of Worawi's disqualification, there are only two candidates -- incumbent FAT president Somyot and Nakhon Sawan MP Pinyo Niroj -- left in the fray. Former national police chief Somyot is seen as favourite to be re-elected for another four-year term in Wednesday's polls.
