Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu. PHOTO | FILEThe federation of women lawyers (FIDA) has demanded an apology from Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai following allegations that he called for the rape of Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu. FIDA national chairperson Josephine Mong’are condemned the MP saying failure to apologize, the organization will take legal action against him. Ms Mong’re now says the words were intended to intimidate and create fear within the female governor, women politicians and women voters. Women should not be cowed from vying, taking up and or maintaining political positions,” she added.
