Fianna Fáil MEP candidate Niall Blaney was asked whether he felt supported by the party. Ms Chambers said there was a “healthy tension” between the Fianna Fáil candidates in the constituency. “So I come here today not as Niall Blaney, but as the people I represent and their voice and their frustration. But one thing for sure – I’m a strong republican Fianna Fáil advocate.”
