Elections Ontario has reduced the number of advance polling locations in Ottawa Centre, from 11 during the 2014 campaign to just four this year. NDP candidate Joel Harden is concerned there are not enough locations for advance voting in Ottawa Centre and elsewhere. "This has led to efficiencies in the number of voting locations required to serve Ontarians." Liberal Ottawa Centre incumbent Yasir Naqvi said he wants people to be able to vote, but also respects the independence of Elections Ontario.
