Share:ISLAMABAD - The government has decided to increase the domestic production of urea in current year by providing supply of RLNG/gas to fertiliser plants to reduce the import bill of the country. The chair was told that projected requirement of urea fertiliser is estimated AT around 3.2 MMT for Rabi season 2021-22. However, urea demand would be met by domestic production, officials apprised the minister. The minister directed the officials of Petroleum Division to ensure the supply of RLNG/gas to fertiliser plants in order to meet the target of local production of urea fertiliser. An official informed that government would consider the import of urea if domestic production does not meet the demand.
