But it was a ferry passenger who heard about the crash on social media that led to a break in the case. (CHEK News)A passenger on the Departure Bay-to-Horseshoe Bay ferry noticed a vehicle with a lot of front-end damage, Gardner said. RCMP are now appealing for any photos of the damaged vehicle at the Nanaimo ferry terminal. "While the vehicle was parked at the Departure Bay ferry terminal, we believe that there were several photographs taken of this vehicle," he said.
