The members of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit (CTTC) have captured two people, including an injured female militant, during a raid at a militant den in the capital’s Azimpur area on Saturday night. At least five members of the CTTC unit have also sustained injuries during the drive. The injured CTTC officials– Mahtab, Jahiruddin, Lablu, Ram Chandra Biswas and Shajahan Ali– have been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, added the DMP official. “The injured woman has also been taken to the DMCH.”Sanowar Hossain, additional deputy commissioner of the CTTC, said: “Acting on information, we raided the six-storey building near No 2 gate of the BGB. Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the militants threw explosives aiming our officials that left five people injured.”More to follow …
