The organizers of a mixed martial arts event that killed one competitor said fighters “get in prepared that they may be injured.”The Fast & Furious Fight Series event on Nov. 16 featured a number of fights, including a K-1 kickboxing match with Saeideh Aletaha. A 26-year-old designer in England and amateur fighter weighed in at approximately 119 pounds when she stepped into the cage on that Saturday night. “Safety is not something ever skimped on in any of our 19 shows and all matches are made equal,” read a statement from the fighting organization. “This is something not expected to happen 99.9 per cent of the time.”The multiple gyms who hosted Aletaha paid tribute to her online. She took a genuine interest in how people were,” read a Facebook post.
