The body of a female has been found submerged in the Rideau River, Ottawa police confirm. ET Monday after seeing a body in the river near Bordeleau Park, which sits off King Edward Avenue, Cathcart and Bruyere streets in the Lowertown neighbourhood. Police responded and later found the body submerged in water. Officers from the Ottawa police marine, dive and trails unit will recover the body, said Ottawa police spokesman Const. The Rideau River drains into the Ottawa River just a few blocks to the west of Bordeleau Park.
