Prominent left politicians and comrades came up with the memories during a remembrance program held for Comrade Nizamuddin Matin at the Rc Majumdar Auditorium, Dhaka University (DU) on Friday. Comrade Nizamuddin Matin was a legend among the youths during 1980's and also played a vital role during the Liberation War of 1971, said his fellows and associates. Comrade Nizamuddin Matin was a life-time revolutionist who tried to form a strong base of left-leaning politics according to Marx-Lenin and Mao’s theories, added the speakers. Comrade Matin was born in 1955 in Barisal and joined politics while he was a student of class nine in 1969. He was in prison for ten years after the Liberation War.
