Feilding's grim roading system not a priority, transport officials say

A busy Feilding thoroughfare crossed daily by thousands of pupils and motorists does not meet the threshold for safety upgrades, roading officials say. The meeting comes after residents united in a town-wide crusade to safeguard four perilous intersections along Kimbolton Rd. David Unwin/Stuff New Zealand Transport Agency director of regional relationships Emma Speight says officials understand the concerns of Feilding motorists. Mayor Helen Worboys said there was an increase in traffic along Kimbolton Rd, which would only get worse with residential expansion at the northern end.
