THE vice chancellor of the Federal University, Dutse, in Jigawa State, Professor Fatima Batulu Muktar, has disclosed that the institution will commence Law and Islamic Studies this year. The statement further stated that the vice chancellor expressed her gratitude to the council for finding time to pay her a courtesy visit. “The Faculty of Law is in the academic brief of the university, and it will come up in 2021,” she said. The VC added that the “Department of Islamic Studies will come under the Faculty of Education which shall be established in 2020.”Speaking earlier, the chairman Jigawa State Council of Ulama, Khadi Bashir Ahmed Birninkudu, commended the vice chancellor over her achievements in the university. “The smooth academic sessions and consistent graduation ceremony by the university show that the working environment is conducive for teaching and learning,” Khadi Ahmed emphased.
