WASHINGTON—Federal Reserve officials signaled greater conviction at their meeting last month that they don’t need to move interest rates up or down. Officials voted to hold rates steady at their March 19-20 policy meeting after having lifted the Fed’s benchmark rate four times last year, most recently in December to a range of 2.25% to 2.5%.
