Business owners in Feilding are backing a proposal to flush out robbers following the heist of a popular mobile coffee shop. Feilding and District Promotion is now putting together a business case for 36 closed-circuit television cameras to be placed at strategic locations around town. It has the backing of several business owners, who fear thieves are adapting to police "blind spots" after a restructure in 2017 left just seven officers based in Feilding, down from 32. Keeping watch over his two buildings are 25 security cameras, however it hasn't completely thwarted robbers.
