Fears are growing that Connacht scrum-half Kieran Marmion has suffered a fresh injury. Marmion has been hampered by setbacks over the last 16 months, since he underwent ankle surgery following Ireland's win over New Zealand in November 2018. The 28-year old was overlooked by Joe Schmidt for last year's World Cup squad before Marmion missed a chunk of this season due to a back problem. Marmion was pictured on social media with his right leg in a protective boot, which has sparked concerns that is facing another spell out. The 27-times capped international featured off the bench in Connacht's last outing when the Westerners beat the Kings in South Africa two weeks ago.
