Meanwhile, Royal New Zealand Ballet's artistic director Patricia Barker is trying to lure back expat dancers to boost local numbers. Garry Trinder, director of New Zealand School of Dance, fears mnore talent could go overseas if we don't invest in New Zealand facilities. Barker was already overseas bringing home successful New Zealand dancers from international companies - one who had already accepted her offer. "Patricia has been actively trying to bring home New Zealand dancers from around the world," she said.
