Americans have fresh memories of nationwide protests this summer, some of them violent, after the police killing of African-American George Floyd. The president was holding five rallies in five states yesterday then seven to close out the final full day of the campaign. Down in the polls and at a cash disadvantage to Biden, Trump is turning to rallies to help keep his message in front of voters. For Biden, that means paying close attention to black voters who are a critical part of the coalition he needs to build to win. Biden held his first campaign events alongside former president Barack Obama at the weekend in the predominantly black cities of Detroit and Flint, Michigan.
