LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan on Wedenesday apologised for the remarks he had made to journalists at the death memorial of Late Qazi Hussain Ahmed. The minister had criticised a journalist who had asked him about former Jamat-e-Islami chief’s statement regarding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) promises of transforming Pakistan into a state like Madinah. Chohan remarked that the journalist should be ashamed for asking such a question at the occasion. At Chohan’s response to the question, journalists present at the scene had staged a protest. Meanwhile, PTI leader Aleem Khan also apologised for the recent remarks made by Punjab Information Minister Fayazul Hasan Chohan against journalists.
