Olujimi urges FG to tackle trafficking of persons for slaveryThe Ekiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has set up a 13-man committee to co-ordinate the burial ceremony of the late Afenifere leader, Pa Ayo Fasanmi, who died on July 30, 2020 at 94 years. This was contained in a statement signed by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Yinka Oyebode, which was made available to newsmen yesterday in Ado-Ekiti. Oyebode said the committee members would work with the family of the late elder statesman and Osun State government to ensure a befitting burial for the deceased, who would be buried in Iyin-Ekiti in Ilejemeje Local Council of Ekiti State tomorrow, August 4, 2020. The committee is headed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji. In another development, the senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, Mrs. Biodun Olujimi, has urged the Federal Government to devise more holistic approaches toward reducing the trafficking of Nigerians abroad for prostitution, slavery and other nefarious crimes.
