ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has condemned the allegations made against Interior State Minister Shehryar Afridi of using the government’s expenses to redecorate his new residence. Chaudhry, in a statement issued Friday, said that the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) will carry out an investigation into the matter, and find out the source behind these baseless allegations. The info minister also denied reports claiming that PM Imran Khan was not satisfied with Finance Minister Asad Umar‘s performance. Sheheryar Afridi was allegedly accused of replacing floor tiles, curtains, furniture and carpets after he moved into a house in the ministers’ colony. The purchases allegedly cost millions of rupees and were ordered to be paid by the Chief Commissioner Islamabad.
