A boy who weighed more than 30 stone and had to bathe in a pond outside has lost nearly half his body weight after having a gastric band fitted. Dubbed the heaviest child in the world three years ago, Arya Permana, 13, of West Java, Indonesia, is now hoping to remove his excess skin after shedding 220lbs. Currently weighing 189lbs – 13.5 stone – Arya is now able to play sport and wants to become a footballer when he’s older.
