The deceased, John Kofi Adams, 55, is believed to have committed the act around 2:00am on Sunday, May 12 at the gate of the compound house where he lived with his family. Mr Prah says the deceased, who has three kids with the wife, has been living in the house for over 15 years and been usually calm until the unfortunate incident on Sunday. Neighbours and colleague workers who besieged the premises upon hearing the news appeared utterly shocked since the deceased didn’t show any sign of being troubled. One question then was left on almost everybody’s lip: “Why would a father commit suicide on Mothers’ Day?”The body has since been conveyed by the Effiakuma police to the Effia Nkwanta Hospital morgue while investigation continues.
