Pol Captain Atcharee Wutthiwatana, deputy inspector of Son Phi Nong police station, said Dej Somdee, 49, was arrested on Tuesday, hours after he allegedly stole from the unlocked car at a school in Tambon Hua Pho in Song Phi Nong district. According to Atcharee, Dej admitted that when he took his 3-year-old son to school on the first day of the new semester, he noticed that the car was unlocked so he opened it and stole values inside. Artcharee said Dej now felt guilty and was worried how his son could continue to attend class. The teacher, Jiraprapha Plengparn, 27, said she has just been hired at the school. “I was shocked to see on footage from the school’s security camera that the thief was the parent of one of my students,” she said.
