Jacob sheep are noted for their speckled and spotted coats, and truly odd array of horns, two to six a sheep, both on the rams and the ewes. Jacob sheep are kept in a few small flocks around the world, but disappeared from Israel itself a long time ago. She had some Jacob sheep, but the flock was diminishing, as it had no commercial value. In 2014, they took in some 15 sheep and the word got out in the tiny Jacob sheep community. But there remained always the promise that God would provide good shepherds — shepherds after his own heart.
