more-inThe police have arrested former whip and Congress leader T. Jayaprakash Reddy at the district headquarters on Thursday and shifted him to Pulkal police station. Mr. Jayaprakash Reddy had announced fast unto death demanding sanction of medical college for the Sangareddy district headquarters. Mr. Jayaprakash Reddy claimed that the medical college was sanctioned by former Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. The ruling party has repeatedly said that the medical college for Sangareddy was only a promise and there was never any GO issued in this regard. Speaking to reporters, Mr. Jayaprakash Reddy alleged that the government had been neglecting Sangareddy district and suppressing people’s aspiration for a medical college.
