The actions of Kane Morris, ten, were praised by the judge PAA man has admitted killing his ten-year-old son and causing near fatal injuries to a girl aged eight as they slept. Glasgow high court was told that the attacks took place in the early hours of November 11 at a flat in Coupar Angus, Perth and Kinross. The judge praised the boy’s bravery in trying to protect the girl from his father. Morris was originally charged with murdering his son, Kane, a pupil at Coupar Angus primary school, but Alex Prentice, QC, for the prosecution, accepted a plea of culpable homicide on the basis of diminished responsibility. Morris also admitted attempting to murder the girl.
