Five others were injured in the attack, which occurred in Andua village in Mirjaganj Upazila on the evening of Eid day on Monday, said Mirjaganj Police Station Inspector Milon Mitra. The deceased has been identified as local resident Jafar Howladar (30). The argument between Jafar Howladar and his cousin Malek Howladar began after a buffalo belonging to Jafar got free and ruined some crop cultivated by Malek, Mirjaganj Police Station OC Monir Hossain told bdnews24.com. Then, around 7am on Monday a group led by Malek attacked Jafar’s home and injured several people. Jafar died on way to a local medical complex for treatment, OC Hossain said.
