Ottawa-based grocery chain Farm Boy is opening its first Toronto-area location March 1 in Etobicoke. “Alderwood residents have been eagerly awaiting a new grocery store,” said Coun. Mark Grimes, Ward 6 (Etobicoke-Lakeshore) in a Farm Boy release. A 52-foot salad bar, sushi and wood-fired pizza are amongst the dine-in options. Farm Boy, with 25 locations, has been described as a combination of Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods, focusing on healthy eating, local and organic products, and sustainable seafood.
