The right-handed middle-order batsman struck a fifty off just 18 balls against Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Nazmul Hossain Milon held the previous record of reaching the milestone facing 19 deliveries. Milon achieved that feat for Dhaka Division against Khulna Division during National Cricket League one-day tournament in April, 2007. The Doleshwar captain then struck two more sixes and a four in 23rdover which got 27 runs for the side.
