Charles Njonjo served as Attorney General from 1963 to 1980. Besides serving as Kenya’s first Attorney General, Njonjo, who assumed the nickname Sir Charles, after his liking for British mannerism, served as Member of Parliament, Minister and chairman of several parastatals.
