Once more pointing out the division and lack of unified direction in the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Information Minister Shibli Faraz said that contradicting stances taken by the opposition leaders regarding the Karachi incident inquiry report showcases the lack of future of the anti-government alliance. Faraz on Twitter noted the lack of singular ideology in the PDM based on the difference in the reactions of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader Nawaz Sharif. Regarding the inquiry into the arrest of PML-N leader Captain (r) Safdar Awan, Bilawal on November 10 welcomed the “good news”, while Nawaz called it a “cover-up” and “rejected” it. This is not the first time the information minister has expressed the opinion that the PDM is doomed to fail. In a statement on Monday, Shibli Faraz had said that the PDM has shown itself as directionless, adding that they are moving ahead blindly.
