Up to 20 ambulances were reportedly seen in the area, while a police helicopter was also heard over the city centre at around 2am. Police issued a dispersal order around the city centre and there are reports that a person has been stabbed. However, the crowds have been condemned by authorities and as celebrations continued for a second night, police have urged people not to gather. Liverpool City Council has branded the crowds "unacceptable" and appealed to fans earlier to keep a safe distance from others. Speaking to the Liverpool Echo earlier, Mayor Anderson says he is now considering a curfew to stop people gathering in the city centre.
