TORONTO — Marco Estrada grew up in southern California, the land of the original Disneyland. The Toronto Blue Jays right-hander agreed to a one-year contract extension with the club for $13 million, avoiding free agency. He insisted the main motivation for wanting to stay in Toronto was not money, but simply because he likes it here and, not to go all Sally Field, but because Jays fans really, really like him. And no doubt Estrada is hoping to parlay a good 2018 campaign into another multiyear deal for more money. We had some really good talks.
