It is mainly shown as a youth movement that has played a significant role in preserving the concept of Ethiopian nationhood. I discuss key challenges, and provide recommendations for educators and adult allies of this defiant youth movement. We should recognize and respect The Fano youth movement has potentially powerful social movement actors, and allocate resources to support, amplify, and extend their impact. (18) It is high time to engage in open dialogue about strategy and tactics and take the Fano youth opinions seriously. Together, the Fano youth and adult allies can surface alternative narratives like unity, equity, diversity, respect, inclusion, bravery, and connected fate.
