Family seeks charges, officer's ID in Patrick Lyoya's death

A Michigan police officer fatally shot his eldest son, 26-year-old Patrick, in the head this month following a traffic stop in Grand Rapids. He and his wife later spoke at an emotional news conference in Grand Rapids, a city of about 200,000 people that's about 150 miles (240 kilometers) northwest of Detroit. In the April 4 encounter, the officer repeatedly ordered Patrick Lyoya to let go of the Taser. The officer told Lyoya to “stop" and tried to pull his hands behind his back. Several hundred protesters gathered outside the Grand Rapids Police Department following Wednesday's release of the videos.
