Oluwatobi AkindeleThe family of a customs officer, Rasheed Abdulsalam, have raised the alarm over his alleged abduction by suspected smugglers along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. During subsequent shootout with the smugglers, the customs officers were reportedly overwhelmed. While his other colleagues escaped, Rasheed reportedly could not because he was the driver of the custom’s operational Hilux vehicle. I was also told that the incident was not reported immediately to the police.”The spokesperson for the FOU, Jerry Attah, referred our correspondent to the customs’ national Public Relations Officer, Joseph Attah. The Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, told our correspondent to call back.
