Family pay tribute to Bolton Wanderers fan Iain Purslow

Iain Purslow, 71, was at the game against Cheltenham Town when he suffered a suspected cardiac arrest around 30 minutes into the game at the Toughsheet Community Stadium. Iain’s son Stuart says that family and friends are all “heartbroken”, but that the “love and support shown by Bolton Wanderers Football Club (BWFC) and the wider community has been a great comfort”. Daryl says that in his retirement Iain lived life to the full, and widely travelled throughout the world, coaching junior football teams. Iain started following Wanderers in 1960 after his uncle Arthur, who was a massive fan, took him to his first game at Burnden Park. The family have since set a JustGiving page up to help raise funds for Bolton Wanderers in the Community.
