A family of deer has been calling a vacant Scarborough plaza home after being trapped Tuesday afternoon. A pregnant female deer and a male yearling were seen around the Eglinton Avenue and Kennedy Road area on Tuesday, when the deer reportedly came into contact with a car. It appears the male deer suffered some injuries. Toronto wildlife officials were on the scene Wednesday, but as of midday Thursday the deer remained trapped. In order to deal with the deer safely, she said, the wildlife officials need the area to be as calm as possible.
