The family of a 20-year-old Seneca College student who was fatally hit by a car in Richmond Hill last week, is pleading to the driver to come forward. Ethann McAulay was struck by a black 2011 or 2012 Hyundai Sonata while walking on Highway 404 near Major Mackenzie Dr. on April 23. Police said the driver fled the scene and was last seen exiting the highway at Elgin Mills Rd. Schmidt said debris, including parts of a side mirror and a front tail light, were spread across portions of the highway. Schmidt said the investigation will be very tedious and time consuming, and it might take time to identify who’s responsible.
