Detectives recently got a hold of the man whose family say is thrilled by the attention he generates. The man carefully picks aliases that resemble close family members of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s kin. On the other hand, Damaris Karuitha, Karanja’s now former wife, old DCI sleuths that she has all along known he was a security officer attached to State House. Karuitha had seen the images of the ever-present President’s bodyguard on Karanja’s Facebook page, which cemented her believe he was a security officer. Police almost took Mr Karanja to Mathare metal hospital when he took them to State House claiming it was his home.
