Three family members - two women and a man - have been killed after a two-car collision in Waikato. The driver of the car in which the three people were killed on the Waikato Expressway was taken to hospital in a serious condition, a police spokeswoman told The New Zealand Herald. Police say the driver of the other car was alone in the vehicle and also taken to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition. Police have not yet released the names of those killed. The Serious Crash Unit is investigating both incidents.
