Family from Afghanistan settle into New Zealand life

After growing up in Afghanistan, Farzam, 4, was haunted by thoughts of the fundamentalist group when his family arrived in New Zealand, talking about target killings and blasts. Months later, the toddler has settled into life in Palmerston North and his dad Raza Nayel, 34, said they could not be happier. The Nayel family came to New Zealand under the family reunion immigration category, as Raza Nayel's sister lives in Palmerston North. Raza Nayel said he was employed by the Government in Afghanistan, where his family lived in Kabul. Bombings were so common Raza Nayel said people got used to clearing the road, burying the bodies and getting on with life.
