Met Office meteorologist Aidan McGivern said "most places" will see rain at some point during the day, but it will become "more persistent" in western Scotland and Northern Ireland. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain for most of Scotland and Northern Ireland between 9am and 10pm on Saturday. Sunday is forecast to see rain and gusts of up to 50mph hit coastal areas in north Wales and north west England, while remaining "breezy" further inland, Met Office meteorologist Craig Snell said.
