Family and friends attend candlelight vigil for Nhaveen - Nation

GEORGE TOWN: Family members, friends and well-wishers joined a candlelight vigil on Wednesday in front of the Penang Hospital for assault victim T. Nhaveen. The 30-minute vigil, organised by non-governmental organisation Malaysian Tamil Kular, saw the crowd chanting mantras and prayers for the 18-year-old. Nhaveen's family members also joined the vigil, while his uncle briefed the crowd on the teenager's condition and asked them to keep Nhaveen in their prayers. Nhaveen and his friend T. Previin were allegedly beaten up by a group of teenagers with helmets. He was found unconscious at a field in Jalan Kaki Bukit in Bukit Gelugor, George Town, Penang and was brought to the hospital in an unconscious state.
