The Family Group Foundation, a subsidiary of Family Bank, has given scholarships to 10 needy students from Nyeri county to pursue their secondary education. The foundation has this year spent Sh30 million on scholarships for needy students through its education pillar. Family Group CEO Rebecca Mbithi said the move is part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility to create a future sustainable community. Governor Mutahi Kahiga praised the Family Group Foundation for supporting education, especially during the difficult economic times occasioned by the Covid-19 pandemic. Family Bank Foundation executive director John Waimiri, bank manager Frederick Wagura and county government officials were present during the event.
