More than 150,000 people have backed a petition by the Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice UK group calling for an immediate probe. Jo, from Norwich, said: “It’s been a month since we sent our formal request calling for an inquiry and we’ve been blanked ever since. We accurately predicted that the spread of Covid-19 through old ­people’s residential quarters would lead to widespread loss of life. Now the Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice group want to see “life and death” issues explored – such as PPE shortages and the failure to impose a lockdown before March 23. Boris Johnson, Matt Hancock, anyone who was in a meeting and knew people were going to die and they did nothing.
