Familiar face helps raise thousands

The Bold graphic designer Andy Giesecke and Dunedin printing company The Print Room have together raised more than $35,000 for Women’s Refuge through the sale of thousands of Ashley Bloomfield clothing and tote bags. The two Dunedin businesses are selling "The Curve Crusher" hoodies, T-shirts and tote bags, which bear the image of director-general of health Dr Ashley Bloomfield. The images were designed by Mr Giesecke and printing began this week at The Print Room following the lifting of the Level 4 lockdown. The Print Room was also hosting the “Keep a Good Thing Going” venture, allowing local Dunedin businesses to print and sell merchandise to earn revenue as Covid-19 restrictions continued.
