A criminal case was registered by UPSC against IAS officer Puja Khedkar for ‘misrepresenting and falsifying facts’. She allegedly faked her OBC and disability certificates and her age to clear her exams. While a probe is underway to ascertain her ‘objectionable behaviour’, the investigations tumbled more skeletons from the cupboard of the Khedkar family. Puja was assigned as an assistant collector at the Pune District Collectorate, on probation in June 2024. In July, Pune Collector Suhas Diwase alleged that Puja had 'unrealistic expectations' and she sought "special privileges which were not allowed to an IAS probationary officer".
